Dice FM

Growing artist discoverability via a subscription service.

  • A hypothetical service design and integration project, whereby the app-based ticket vendor, DICE FM, are looking for a way to promote emerging artists and increase their market share in small venues. They plan on building a subscription service, which will integrate into their existing app and enable users to discover and attend new live shows tailored to their likes and location.

  • This was a 2-week group concept UX/UI project. I led the competitive and comparative analysis stages of research, as well as assisted with and collaborated on user interviews, information architecture and ideation. I also paired on prototyping and user testing.

    • Figma

    • Zoom

    • Maze

    • Slack

  • My team designed a subscription service which we could fully integrate into the existing DICE FM app through the use of mid- to high-fidelity prototypes created using Figma. The service was fully thought out, with consideration given to business value as well as rewarding customers with meaningful incentives.

  • Quantitative User Testing

Using Maze, we were able to acquire quantitative user feedback regarding how people interacted with our mid-fidelity prototypes. Consequently, our subsequent prototype iterations were able to test much more positively, having applied all user feedback.

  • Competitive Analysis

Thorough and exhaustive competitive analysis (conducted via feature inventories, task analyses and plus/deltas) allowed us to identify any potential gaps in the market.

  • Service Design

Several design decisions were made in consideration of integrating a brand new service into DICE’s existing mobile app - including ensuring that subscribers could easily access the service, whilst regular app usage was uninterrupted for non-subscribers.
