Here: Global Relief

Can a good user experience help with mindfulness and meditation?

  • HERE Global were in the midst of redesigning their mobile app in time for a large corporate rollout later in 2022. Their app offers short interactive exercises to assist with meditative practice and mindful thinking - my team were tasked with designing, prototyping and testing brand new interactive exercises which were visually consistent with the new app redesign.

  • This project was a 3-week group sprint. Besides conducting extensive UX research which would determine user wants and needs, I led the development of a scalable visual art style that could be applied to each new exercise through the use of vector assets and curated colour palettes.

    • Figma

    • Zoom

    • Trello

    • Slack

    • JIRA

  • After the 3-week sprint, my team was able to produce 5 impressionable animated prototypes which were grounded in exhaustive user research. The client was very happy, and was able to take away from the sprint a universally applicable art style that can be used at multiple fidelities, as well as a handful of interactive exercises which can be further explored and developed at the client’s discretion.

  • Thorough User Testing

User testing was conducted at multiple stages during the sprint - this including testing the client’s existing product before beginning work on new designs.

  • Motion Design

We worked closely with animation during this sprint to ensure that a satisfying feel, pacing, and response was present during all of the interactive exercises.

  • Unique Art Style

A library of original vector art assets were created for this project, to ensure consistency and scalability across all of the exercises created.
