Aquis - Website & Rebrand
Redefining the digital presence of a challenger stock exchange
-
Aquis Exchange, Europe’s 6th largest stock exchange, faced a critical challenge with its online presence. The website was not only visually outdated but also did not effectively communicate the company's innovative approach to trading and its subdivisional structure: Aquis Markets, Aquis Stock Exchange, and Aquis Technologies. I was tasked with a comprehensive UX/UI redesign project to revamp the site, incorporating a recent company rebranding developed with an external graphic design studio, the latter part within a tight three-month deadline.
-
This was a solo UX project that involved thorough user research conducted via the application of user interviews, affinity mapping, card sorting, and competitive analysis (amongst other techniques). A key challenge was managing the diverse expectations of senior stakeholders across the business. Ensuring their distinct needs aligned with the overall business objectives was crucial, requiring a careful balance to keep the site cohesive and reflective of Aquis Exchange's integrated operations.

The redesigned Aquis Exchange website represents a significant leap forward in both form and function. The new information architecture clearly delineates the company's subdivisions, making it easier for users to navigate and understand Aquis Exchange's comprehensive offerings. The UI redesign, closely aligned with the late-stage company rebrand, has dramatically improved the site's aesthetics and user engagement, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience.
